New DKT2404-DECT

Toshiba is pleased to announce the next generation DKT2404-DECT cordless DECT phone product. This robust digital cordless telephone meets the needs of a wide-variety of users—from SMB to enterprise customers.

The DKT cordless phone series provide a range of features and cost benefits for different tiered product offerings and includes the following models: DKT2204-CT, DKT2304-CT, DKT2404-DECT

DKT2404-DECT provides the same features and functionality as the DKT2204-CT and DKT2304-CT cordless phones plus enhanced DECT functionality.

Key selling features include:

• Minimizes any interference between base stations in proximity or any surrounding WLAN access points.
• DECT technology provides three to seven times the range compared with the DKT2204-CT and DKT2304-CT models (When combined with the DKT2404-UDR100 repeater solution)
• Up to six repeaters can be linked per base station, for an extended range up to 300 feet.
• Provides improved battery life to sixteen hours talk time and seven days standby time.

SoftIPT Customized for Motorola MC70

The SoftIPT® 2.1.2 is the latest version of the Toshiba SoftIPT softphone application for Pocket PCs. The SoftIPT Pocket PC version is a portable software version designed for mobile devices. The SoftIPT Pocket PC version enables users to take advantage of all the powerful features found on the standard IP telephone.

While the SoftIPT Pocket PC version 2.1.2 is compatible with Pocket PC mobile devices running Microsoft Windows® Mobile 5.0/6.0, the 2.1.2 version is also designed with the Motorola MC70 users in mind. The SoftIPT on the MC70 Handheld Mobile Computer enables integration features that are only available on this device. We have customized some of the features on the SoftIPT that enables users to use the SoftIPT on the MC70 much more efficiently.

March 5, 2008 - Central Standard Time Change

The United States Energy Policy Act of 2005 mandates that Central Standard Time (CST) will start on the first Sunday in November and end on the second Sunday in March. The start and stop dates will be November 4 and March 9 respectively. To address this new mandate, Dial Communications is providing† updates on the following equipment:

*Strata MAS Windows XP updates can also be obtained directly from Microsoft's support website.
Toshiba and Dial Communications IT Team have tested these updates and found them valid for use with the MAS.

Please note, on release 4.2 and higher CTX/CIX products that have the DST auto scheduler enabled will still follow the old time change schedule unless the new patch is installed. In the interim, you can correct the time of your system manually by clicking on one of the following links. Afterwards, please notify Dial Communications to have your system properly updated†.
